The Boss and I have just spent the last month in India - what an experience. Truly makes you appreciate New Zealand! Minimal rubbish littering our countryside and we can see all our stars at night as there is no air pollution. I shall try to take a photo of our night sky so you can appreciate it also. The most stars we saw in India was in a wonderful little place called Jojawa out in the middle of nowhere (well a little town of 12,000 close by) but where there was the least pollution, and we saw about 10 stars!
But a truly amazing place to visit, although not restful. And if we didn't have more of the world to explore, would definitely go back, as we saw such a little area. Rajasthan and Shimla to be exact. Had some wonderful accommodation in old forts and castles, and saw even more wonderful old forts and castles, and many temples, including the rat temple. Have to say our rats look far more intimidating and better fed, dog biscuits seem to suit them very well.
